Thank you all again for all patience during these crazy times.
Per CDC, MDH and MN Hockey guidelines, it is critical that Members who have a confirmed positive case for COVID-19 notify your NE/NTS/NB/SF COVID-19 team managers and/or association COVID-19 Coordinators (Autumn Hanes, Carolyn Hoffman and Becky Mehregan). Notification includes the player testing positive, someone in their household testing positive, or someone that the player has come in contact with testing positive and your player is now in quarantine because of.
Team COVID-19 Managers/Coordinators will inform members if they are aware the member has been exposed to a person with COVID-19 during any association activities. NE/NTS/NB/SF youth hockey associations will protect the privacy of the infected persons’ health status and health information. The name of the person testing positive will not be disclosed unless consent is provided by the person.
Staying home when you are sick is one of the best ways to fight COVID-19. Keeping sick skaters or those that have had an exposure to a person who has COVID-19 away from other skaters will help us stop the spread of this virus, so that we can successfully keep hockey going this season.
For the 2020-2021 season, Quarantine Enforcement: Players who are instructed per Minnesota Department of Health policies to quarantine, whether related to a positive test, close contact, etc., will be considered ineligible for participation until the quarantine period issued by the Department of Health expires. If it is found that a player who is under quarantine plays in a game, Minnesota Hockey rules subject to playing an ineligible player shall be enforced. Under these rules, the team would be ineligible for District, Region and State Tournaments, and the head coach would be suspended for the rest of the season.
